Witness the journey of the Three Kings in the 12th Christmas on Display (COD) in Greenhills Shopping Center. The COD will run on a daily basis until January 4, 2015, with the show lasting approximately 15 minutes, from 6:30 PM until 11:30 PM. Admission is free.
The much-anticipated Christmas on Display this year takes us back to the time when Christ was born with the theme, “The First Christmas”. The moving mannequin show tells the story of the journey of the Three Kings as they search for the infant Jesus on the night he was born in Bethlehem.
The Christmas on Display roots its 57-year tradition in the COD Department Stores in Avenida and later in Cubao. The tradition would have come to a halt in 2002, but Ortigas offered Greenhills Shopping Center to be the new home for the well-loved display. Greenhills Shopping Center is now on its 12th year of hosting the moving mannequin show. The masterpiece remains to be designed and orchestrated by the Manila COD Team, led by Mr. Alex Rosario, whose family owned the COD Department Stores.
“Watching the Christmas on Display during the yuletide season has been a tradition for families in almost 60 years. For the past 11 years that we have been hosting the COD, we have witnessed people from different generations and backgrounds come to Greenhills Shopping Center to watch the show. This has become an occasion for bonding, and making memories among families and friends,” says Cathy Casares-Ko, General Manager of Greenhills Shopping Center.
Over six hundred kids from the Department of Social Welfare and Development – San Juan, White Cross, and children of security, janitors and maintenance personnel of the shopping center were treated to an afternoon of fun and games before being the first audience of the Christmas on Display.
Families and friends can enjoy watching the Christmas on Display in Greenhills Shopping Center beginning November 15, and the show will run daily until January 4, 2015. Each show lasts approximately 15 minutes, from 6:30 PM until 11:30 PM. Admission is free.
Greenhills Shopping Center remains to be a prime destination every Christmas season with people looking for delicious food, entertainment, and bargain shopping in Metro Manila.
